SUPER IMPORTANT INFO ⚠️

Writer's picture: Vegan Camp OutVegan Camp Out

VCO 2024 - All the info you need!

From tonight we won't be able to reply to emails as we are all now busy at the site building the event, however this is all of the information you need to know for this weekend 💚

If you can't find your ticket - All tickets have now been sent so please first search 'Vegan Camp Out' in your emails (including junk/spam) and if you still can't find it, then you can retrieve them here - https://vco.vercel.app/check-email. We're no longer dealing with ticket issues at this time but if neither of these options worked, then don't worry as someone will be able to search your details on the door and scan you in that way instead!

Address for everyone arriving:

What3words - spoken.region.paint

Google Maps - Vegan Camp Out South Gate

Time to arrive - The carpark opens for everyone at 12 midday Friday (except VIP), with the campsite/arena opening at 1pm. If you have a VIP add-on then you may come from 9.30am. Please do not come before 12 as this risks causing traffic issues on the roads, which then means everyone has to wait longer to get in than they would have.

Please have just your vehicle/parking pass ready for scanning on arrival. If you don't have one, you can buy a car pass on entry for £25 (weekend) or £15 (day ticket) - Card only!

Once you've parked your vehicle - Please follow signs for the various area ticket exchanges and make sure to have your weekend tickets up on your phone (or printed) ready for scanning

The latest time you can arrive to the festival is 10pm on Friday, 10pm Saturday and 6pm Sunday. The festival ends at 2pm on Monday which is when everyone needs to have left by (you may also leave on Sunday evening if you need/prefer)

Important Announcement - We have a big announcement to share to you live at the event at 8.30pm on the Music Stage on Friday - please join us to find out what it is!

Glamping & Pre-Pitched camping - You will be checked in by the specific company you are booked with and they will be there to help you. There are private showers and toilets in both of these area's. You must also have a regular VCO festival weekend ticket too and not just a Glamping/Pre-Pitched booking (this is purely an accommodation add-on)

Families - There is a family parking area which you can park your car or motorhome in (as long as you have the correct parking pass). In family camping there will be a small family area with a marquee, inflatables, kids games, your own showers/toilets, facepainting and your own food vendor/coffee!

Motorhomes - If you have a motorhome, you can park it in the general motorhome section or in family parking, VIP parking, Glamping/Pre-Pitched parking or accessible parking. Please just make sure you have the correct motorhome parking pass (separate to your festival ticket!)

Day Tickets - You can come from 8am Saturday or 8am Sunday. You must leave by midnight on that day. You cannot camp. You can buy a day parking pass on arrival for £15 on arrival. If you're with children, you may still visit the family activities in the family camping field

VIP - There are still a few VIP passes left at vegancampouttickets.com! You can come from 9.30am Friday. You will have your own parking area which you can park your car (or motorhome) in as long as you have the right parking pass. You must have both a full VCO festival weekend ticket as well as your VIP add-on (the VIP add-on does not grant you entry to the festival, this is purely the VIP add-on). There is a designated VIP camping area also (although you don't have to camp in here, you may still camp anywhere you want on site). The private VIP showers are in VIP camping and the luxury toilets are in the VIP zone (in the arena) - however there are still standard toilets for you in VIP camping also! In the VIP zone there is a private bar, food vendor, seating/beanbags, music, games, a headline DJ set each night and phone charging! This area is a very short walk from VIP camping and is right inside of the arena (meaning you're only ever a short walk from all the main action). VIP is strictly 16+ (however we have told people who have recently had babies that they can still enter - but no young children or teenagers). You also have a free 2024 festival T-Shirt as part of your VIP add-on (which will be emailed to you separately tonight/tomorrow). The T-Shirt barcode email can be exchanged for the actual T-Shirt from the VCO merch stall (located in the stalls in the arena) any time from when the arena opens at 1pm (you may pick your size in person). A reminder that each person in your group must have a VIP add-on to gain early entry, access to VIP parking/camping, the VIP zone and the 2024 T-Shirt

Merch - We have an official VCO merch stall on site (located right at the start of the stalls area when you first walk into the arena). This will have 2024 Festival T-Shirts, old year T-Shirts and hoodies for sale, as well as beanies, joggers/sweatpants, hats, mugs, stickers and badges!. If you have pre-ordered a T-Shirt or hoodie - this is where you pick it up from also (using the merch barcode ticket you will have received via email). Merch is also where you can drop off any lost property (or ask for any lost items). Buying merch massively helps us as a festival to continue - so thank-you!

Bars/Drinks - There are bars in the arena, food strip, VIP, Slipshod and The Block! We have worked with our bar/drink providers to give you some of the cheapest drinks prices seen at 2024 UK festivals this summer! We have added a lot more different drinks to the bars this year after much feedback (there are even vapes on sale!). Buying drinks supports the bars and also the future of the festival! You can't enter the arena with alcohol or drinks you have brought onto site (you may fill up your water bottle for free once inside the arena using our water stations!)

Alcohol Allowance - You may bring your own alcohol to the campsite with you when you arrive. Each person is permitted to bring 12 cans of beer/lager or 70cl/700ml of spirits or 1500ml of wine (2 bottles) with them for the campsite. You must bring your alcohol with you when first exchanging your wristband. Once you have entered the campsite, you cannot bring more alcohol with you if you leave and come back (even if it's for someone else). Buying drinks helps to support the festival - this is generally one of the only ways an event makes their money!

Access Customers - This area is closest to the arena. In this area there will be accessible showers and toilets (there will also be accessible toilets in the arena also). Once in, please follow the road to the gates, the access camp is on the left hand side with staff ready to greet you. Access day customers can use the disabled access car park located opposite the access camp site - please speak to staff for the exact location. Any issues please use the Access WhatsApp group here to contact El (your disability liaison) - https://chat.whatsapp.com/H0PSG3ck0bY53YqFUdf75S

BSL - There will be interpreters for the Main stage and Education stage. Information on where to go will be on the booklet handed to everyone on arrival!

Trains - There are 2 train stations - Bicester North and Bicester Village. Bicester North to Vegan Camp Out (Bicester Heritage) is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive or you can get the x5 bus from right outside which brings you right to the venue in just 4 minutes. Bicester Village to Vegan Camp Out (Bicester Heritage) is a 36 minute walk or a 5 minute drive or you can also get the x5 bus from there right to the venue too (but it's a 12 minute walk from Bicester Village train station to the bus stop (Pioneer Square Stand 2). If you wish to get a taxi from the train station to the venue, we would recommend finding a company on Google and booking in advance!

Cash/Card - Please bring lots of cash as there isn't any cash machines on-site. Most places take both card or cash, however all bars are card only

Coffee - There is much more coffee this year! They are marked on the map in this email which is one in family camping, one next to general camping, two in the arena (one of which is in the food strip). And now there is also a service where you can pre-order and collect your coffee from your chosen camp-site! - https://sanctuarycoffee-events.square.site

Toilets - These are marked on the map in this email. Not only are we one of the cheapest medium sized camping festivals in the country, but we're one of the only festivals that doesn't charge extra for luxury toilets! All the luxury toilets will be in the various campsites (as this is where people will be using them the most) but there are many standard portaloo toilets in the arena also!

Showers - These are marked on the map in this email. General camping and motorhome showers are in one big section, located below general camping (just above family camping). Family camping get their own showers. Glamping get their own. Accessible get their own. Pre-Pitched get their own. VIP get their own

Dogs - For those that can either leave their dog at home or get a dog sitter, this would be highly appreciated and make things easier for everyone. It may not be an appropriate place for them in the talks which could possibly mean you having to miss out on them. However, if you want to bring them, that's fine, and everywhere outdoors will be fine for them. Please note dogs must be kept on leads at all times and will have to sleep in your tent/caravan with you. Dogs should not be in the music stage or afterparties because of loud noise. Bring a dog bowl in case of hot weather. Cats or Pigs are not allowed because of licensing restrictions.

Weather - As it stands at the time of writing this, the weather looks to be dry/sunny all weekend! But still always bring hats and sunscreen, as well as an umbrella. And remember to drink lots of water (we have water points dotted across site to keep you hydrated)

Wifi - We're lucky to be one of few festivals that is at a venue with great natural phone signal, so there's no Wifi connectivity as we don't need it!

Lost Property - Please drop off any found items at VCO merch in the area and also enquire here about any lost items!

Quiet Camping - This is located on the map, just to the right when you come into the general campsite. It isn't something you pre-book, it's just a smaller area that is made for those that want to camp around others that don't want to make noise (once it's full, it's full!)

Solo Campers - This is located on the map also, to the far left when you walk into the general campsite. It isn't marked with anything, it's just a generic area for those who want to camp with others who are going alone!

SEE YOU THIS WEEKEND!

Hi Guys, having a great time, only issue encountered has been in the Main Stage Tent, the noise from the Open Mic sessions is carrying over in to this tent, unfortunately sometimes to the point it’s very difficult to hear the speakers (who are all great so far, shame to miss some of the content because of this) Not sure if solution is turn the open mic guys down or the main stage speakers up. Thought worth pointing out. Thanks 💚

3 portaloos is not enough for the motorhome section as MANY of us are in campervans not motorhomes with all the facilities. All 3 have been blocked and out of loo roll since around 9 o'clock Friday night and it is now 10:30 Saturday morning, so they are not being regularly serviced. No contact details for organisers, so noons is taking responsibility.

The Loos in the campervan section are "full"... And you have scan a qr code to "report". Why aren't these being regularly serviced?
